Further shattering the stereotype as a town for business and nothing more is the incredible stretch of museums along both sides of the river Main. However, there's more to Frankfurt tourism than just what is within the city limits. Within an hour by car or bus you can find places to try local wine or even take a ride on the river Rhine to Loreley Rock. Nearby are mountains and forests which are excellent for hiking.
